A 3-part docuseries that explores the rapid ascension of Swami Nithyananda from local TV guru to self-styled “godman” and cult leader. Having ammassed an international following Nithyananda's empire crumbled beneath him as he faced accusations of rape, abduction, assault and brainwashing, leading to his flight from justice and ultimate disappearance, and later reappearance from whereabouts unknown, in the mysterious new country he founded for his followers, 'Kailasa'.

VICE Studio’s probing docuseries is a mix of intimate and detailed first-hand accounts as well as archive footage and striking imagery, sheds light on the shocking controversies and accusations brought about by former devotees and distraught family members seeking retribution and information about their loved ones.
